Hi guys, well we have now had about 5-6 days of extensive testing with this plane and I am pleased to say we have her absoultely humming..........On my 10 cell set up I belive I am looking at 32+ laps and I havent even started to wind the motor up yet.
We have made some key discoveries that I think will really help with your set up of this plane. I have done a spread sheet of our throws and set up. One of the key discoveries we made was the use of snap flap with the elevator. 20% increase in speed in the turns and it also prevents a potential nasty little right hand snap that she can perform from time to time. The other key discovery was the stall point of the V tail. Maximum up elevator throw is 6mm any more is tempting fate. Third: maximum up alieron throw 12mm for speed setting. At speed any more aileron throw can give you a nasty jam that I experienced 3 time before I clicked on what was happening. At high speed with 14mm that I had originally in a tight turn the wiper would get sucked out by the wind and jam on the wing. At lower speeds this is not a problem so greater deflection for landing is not a problem. 14mm was serious over kill any way so 12 is perfect
Any way have a look through these settings and if you have any question drop me a line
Regards
Shaun
