The T2R is a Raycer concept of the T2, which means the highest performance for an affordable price = the best price/value combo
The T2R is aimed for customers who do not need to shave the hundreds of a second and look for the highest performance in the market but still want to race at the club level a car that has the highest quality, is easy to build and maintain and is available for an affordable price.
All parts are compatible, so the driver who will start with an T2R can anytime upgrade to the high-specs T2 easily. If you have some friends who look for high performance, best quality and good price, then the T2R is a perfect car for them.
XRAY has made a name for themselves in a time frame that other should envy. You say that word and people think quality and performance. The quality has always come at a price and for the most part XRAY is usually at the top of the budget food chain. As touring cars creep closer and closer to the $500 range you can see a subtle decline in people entering the segment. Where the FTTC3 used to allow a budgeted entry point that didn’t sacrifice performance the options for the budget minded have shrunk to non-existent. Leave it to XRAY to fill that void. The past “budget version” of the FK. 05 was they Raycer. That car never really took off, but the newest version looks to be a winner in everyway. XRAY is bringing high-end performance in reach of more with the latest version of the T2…the T2R.
We haven't gotten our kit yet to say what materials are different but from the looks of it there isn't much that's not the same, unlike the previous Raycer that had molded parts instead of the machined aluminum.
